About the Island
Harbour Island lies just northwest of Eleuthera Island in the Bahamas. It's known for the long pink sand beaches stretching along its eastern shore.
The Sands
Harbour Island is known for its beautiful pink sandy beaches. The hue comes from a microscopic organism that actually has a reddish-pink shell. Known as Briland to the locals, Harbour Island is colorful with English Colonial-style buildings and flower lined streets. Harbour Island is part of the Out Islands of the Bahamas.
The Church
St. John's Anglican Church is the oldest religious foundation in The Bahamas. Its pink and white building dates back to 1768, and the Loyalists worshipped here as early as the mid-1700's.
The Ocean View Club
The Ocean View Club is a beautiful boutique beach club nestled on the island. Generally advertised by word-of-mouth, the Club is more like a second home than a crowded resort.
